If you are missing one or more of your teeth, you’re not alone. The American Dental Association reports that adults between the ages of 20 and 64 have, on average, three decayed or missing teeth. But fortunately, there is a solution. At Dental Care East Hanover, our trained dental specialists can help you replace your missing teeth and restore your smile.

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) replacement for missing front or back teeth and is a great treatment option if you have one or more missing teeth or need to close space between your teeth. Bridges connect a replaced tooth to the adjacent teeth on either side, which are given dental crowns (or caps) to help provide a support structure for the replacement.

• On your first visit, we prepare and recontour the teeth surrounding your missing tooth by removing a portion of enamel from these teeth to provide room for a crown on each. Then, we give you a temporary bridge for the missing tooth, which means that you can go home with that space filled after a single visit.
• Before your next appointment, we create a custom dental bridge designed to fit your teeth at our dental laboratory, based on teeth impressions taken during your initial visit. This bridge usually takes approximately two weeks to produce.
• At your second visit, we cement your new dental bridge into place and make any final adjustments required to complete the process.
