Meet Dr. Jay Patel

Dr. Jay Patel began his education in New Jersey at Rutgers University on an academic scholarship. From there, he enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and was exposed to many specialties in the dental field, but none drew his interest as much as anesthesiology. He continued his post-graduate education at NYU Langone Hospital, Brooklyn, and trained at a Level 1 trauma center. During this time, Dr. Patel completed over 1,500 cases involving all levels of anesthesia and treated a broad spectrum of patients, including those with complex medical histories.

Following his anesthesia residency, Dr. Patel became Board-Certified by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. This merit is achieved by completing both a written and oral exam administered by a panel of Dr. Patel’s peers. Dr. Patel is dedicated to upholding the highest standard of care in his field, and becoming board-certified was a testament to that standard.

Dr. Patel was born and raised in New Jersey and is now focused on serving the area he called home as a child. He works with dentists in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and is focused on delivering top-quality, safe sedation services. Patients are screened preemptively to anticipate and avoid potential complications. Dr. Patel hopes to usher in a new era of dentistry in which fear is eliminated from dental visits. He works with pediatric, special needs, and severe dental-phobic populations, where his skill set has proven invaluable.

In his spare time, Dr. Patel is an avid movie-goer and sports enthusiast, and enjoys traveling to new destinations with his family.
