Sore Gums
Gums play a large role in not only your oral health, but your health as a whole. While pain could simply be the result of food getting stuck in your teeth, sore gums could also be because of gum disease and plaque. Bacteria may cause your gums to become inflamed, which causes the soreness, redness, and sometimes even the bleeding of gums.
If you’re experiencing painfully sore gums, the expertly-trained staff at Dental Care East Hanover is available to help. In the meantime, there are some steps you can take to alleviate the discomfort:
- Gently brush and floss your teeth to dislodge the food and debris
- Rinse with warm salt water
- Take an over-the-counter pain reliever.

If you have eligible benefits remaining, met your deductible requirements and insurance where a co-pay is not required, your exam, x-rays and cleaning will be at no cost to you. If your insurance requires a co-pay you must pay the required out-of-pocket cost.
