Tooth Pain

While tooth pain can be an annoyance and inconvenience, it can also signal that there’s something more serious going on. Tooth pain is most commonly caused by a broken tooth, cavities, additional decay under a leaking old filling, or grinding or clenching of your teeth.

Your first course of action should be to call Dental Care X so your dentist can address the problem quickly and accurately. In the meantime, you can take over-the-counter medicine, combining extra strength Tylenol 500 mg with Ibuprofen (Advil) 200 mg to help ease the discomfort. Every four to six hours, take one or two of each of the pills.

If you’re experiencing pain and need to make an emergency dental appointment, contact your Dental Care East Hanover office at (973) 975-0309 and we’ll help as soon as possible.
