Meet Dr. Jonny Withanachchi

Dr. Jonny Withanachchi is an endodontist with nearly two decades of experience and more than 40,000 cases treated throughout his career. He earned his DDS from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2005 and completed his specialty training in endodontics at New York University in 2008.

His style is friendly, relaxed, and caring, while remaining laser-focused on excellent patient care. Dr. Jonny believes that clinical experience matters, but that how you treat people matters just as much. He understands that very few patients are excited to hear they need a root canal, so he makes it a priority to help people feel comfortable, welcomed, and confident that they are in the hands of someone who genuinely cares about them and their outcome.

His philosophy is simple: treat every patient with empathy, honesty, dignity, and respect—and always recommend what he believes is truly in their best interest, even when that means not doing a root canal.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jonny is an entrepreneur and longtime real estate and private-market investor who enjoys teaching other dentists about investing and creating greater freedom outside the operatory. He’s also known for bringing a little humor into the day, because dentistry is serious enough already. Most importantly, he is a husband and father of two who values spending meaningful time with his family.
